Juke Bots

Those crazy Germans have been at it again. The Juke Bots are a creation by German Industrial Automation Outfit Robot Lab.

The two Kuka Industrial Robot Arms can each pick up a record and stick it under the needle of a technics deck and spin it around using the motor at the end of the it's arm. The music in the demo's is.... well.... um....., an "interesting" audio mashup, but it sure does create a whole new facet to the industrial music genre.

I don't know if the Juke Bots are going to be challenging Ministry of Sound for shelf space in your local CD shop any time soon, but they certainly win hands down in the stage presence category.

Heck, I thought carting a crate of records around to a gig was a hassle. These things make that inconvenience seem almost trivial.
