Okay, so I’m mainly an old-school Mac guy – perform most of my audio editing on a Mac OS9 Dual G4 with Spark running. Yes, discontinued software running on a discontinued PC. I can’t help it. Since Alchemy was put to sleep, only Spark has even come close to meeting my editing needs. Until possibly, now. I read today with great interest about Sony releasing SoundForge 9.0 for the PC. I have SoundForge 8.0, just don’t use it that much. This new version however, seems to add a number of features useful to me, including a substantial set of Noise Reduction, Audio Restoration, Click and Crackle Removal, and Clipped Peak Restoration tools. Finally, it’s possible that I may be able to abandon Spark. I’m buyin’ the upgrade …
