Kurzweil E-Mail List Archives

ripped shamelessly from Tony Palermo's K2Users.org

There are two Kurzweil E-Mail List Archives available on the Internet. One for the old K2000 List (March 1995 to March 2000) and one for the current KurzList mailing list (November 1999 to the present). They can be very useful in tracking down bugs, techniques, hardware recommendations, Sample CD reviews, etc. To join the e-mail list, visit the [k_mail.htm KurzList Mail "How To" page.]

NOTE: There is a KurzList webpage at Yahoo!Groups that provides a searchable archive of posts dating from Feb 2001 to the present. The archives below are not searchable online.

Downloadable Kurzweil E-mail Discussion List Archives

The complete K2000 List and KurzList archives are compiled by Geoffrey Mayer and hosted by Clif Marsiglio as a service to all Kurzweilers. This is the most complete archive since it contains every post and starts March 24, 1995 -- the day the Listserv at AMERICAN.EDU was set up until that list ceased operation in March 2000. It also contains the posts from the currently active KurzList discussion group (from both its 1999-2001 home at Sweetwater Sound, and its current home at [http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KurzList KurzList - Yahoo!Groups]). Additionally, there is an index file of each monthly archive that can be searched online. The full archives are in .ZIP format to save storage space and make for faster, safer downloading. For links to PC and Mac utilities to un-compress .ZIP formats, see my [k_down.htm downloading and un-compressing page]. The .ZIP files contain both an archive and its separate index file. Once un-zipped, the archive files range from 16 KB to 2.6 MB. Please note: some word processors cannot handle such large files. Use a heavy-duty word processor (like MS Word for Windows/Mac) or your web browser, internally, to view and search these archives.

Use your browser and just click on the indexes and archives listed below. View the index for a particular month and use your browser's "Find" button to search for a topic. Then, download the file by clicking the archive link.

The numbers--01, 04, etc.--correspond to the months of a year.' Many thanks to Geoffrey Mayer for his work in compiling and processing the KurzList archives.
