Kurzweil:ControlSources
From Sonikmatter
Control Sources are the most important element of a program, when trying to give them a humanized feel. Control sources are responsible for all of the vibratos, filter sweeps, pitch bends, etc that make the sounds sound, well, awesome.
There is a rather extensive list of control sources available to the K2xxx series. Some of these physical controllers include the ModWheel, the Sliders, the SW2 switch, the ribbon strips, Attack Velocity, Keynum, and MonoPressure. All of these can be set to control ANY editable parameter within the performance modes.
In addition to these physical controllers, there are also internal controllers. By internal, I mean that they are entirely digital, with no external devices for control. These include the ASR's, LFO's, FUN's and ENV's. One thing to note about these digital control sources is that you can assign Physical Control sources to control THEM! An example of this is using the ModWheel to control the rate of LFO1, which in turn is controlling the vibrato (pitch) of a sawtooth program.
Here are the most complex control sources. I hope to include some examples of how to use them, and some information on how they have been used in some of the default programs in the k2600
