Kurzweil:Crossfade

From Sonikmatter

The Crossfade block is a single unit DSP Block that allows smooth crossfading between the upper "wire" and the "lower" wire.

If all of the block's control paramters ( VelTrk, KeyTrk, Src1 and Src2 add up to 100%, then only the upper wire will be heard. If they add to -100%, then only the lower wire will be heard. At 0% the signals will be added and Attenuate by 6dB, so a mix will be heard, like with the +Gain block with an adjust of 0dB.

The signal mixing is smooth between these values, and can be modulated with any of the standard Kurzweil Controls.

This block is useful if you want to morph sounds from a plain keymap to an effected sound using the same keymap. It's great for synth or drum builds, where you want the sound to change as the intensity builds.

This block is also great for evolving sounds, and assigning this parameter to an LFO, Envelope, ASR or FUN can create some great variety to the sound, being either subtle or dramatic depending upon the other processing that happens on the wires.

An example of what this block can be used for, is a guitar sound. As you play, you'd like to add some distortion to the sound. Puting a DIST block on one wire, with the clean sound on the other will allow you to use this block, to mix the distorted sound into the clean sound.
