Kurzweil:DMTi

From Sonikmatter

DMTi stands for Digital MultiTrack Interface, and is the device required on K2500's and K2600's to get digital audio in and out of the synths.

The DMTi is essentially a format convertor and will re-allign digital audio with any of it's clock sources. It also functions as a digital patchbay.

It's an incredibly useful piece of gear, and with two of them it is possible to do 8 tracks of ADAT to TDIF conversion (with the extra cards) in either direction.

They feature AES/EBU and SPDIF I/O as standard, though extra AES/EBU I/O is available as an expansion card.

To use on a K2500 the KDFX option must be installed. On the K2600 the DIO26 expansion is required.

The DMTi can't be used with the K2661 (using KDS I/O) as the digital I/O on the K2661 is via ADAT.
