Kurzweil:Program Mode

From Sonikmatter

Program Mode is the main Operating Modes of the Kurzweil's. This is the mode where sounds are designed and edited. There are a wide variety of architectures available within Program Mode as well as the ability to layer and map the keyboard. A Program can feature up to 32 layers, each which can have different architectures.

K2000's always start in this mode, and it is the most used mode in K2500's, K2600's and K2661's, and one of the two modes that these machines can start in (the other being Setup Mode). These models will start up in whichever mode you shut down the machine in.

The most powerful aspect of the Program Mode is the Program Editor which can be accessed by pressing the amazing little Edit Button. Why Kurzweil don't double the size of this button and put a nice little blue LED behind it to highlight it's power, is beyond me.
