Kurzweil:Two-pole Allpass

From Sonikmatter

The Two-pole Allpass filter is very similar to the One-pole Lowpass filter except that it is a 2 block filter and hence has a width control. Additionally this filter has a phase offset for low frequency's of 0 degrees through -180 degrees at the centre frequency with a maximum phase offset at high frequency's of -360 degrees.

The width control adjusts the steepness of the phase response near the centre frequency. At high values of width the slope of phase adjustment is shallow with a gradual change in phase offset over the entire frequency spectrum. At low widths the majority of the frequency spectrum is either at the maximum or minimum phase offset with a rapid change in phase over a very narrow frequency range.

Lower widths are more suited to creating phasers and dramatic effects, whereas higher widths are more suitable for using as reverbs and more subtle effects.
