Kurzweil:Two-pole Bandpass

From Sonikmatter

The Two-pole Bandpass Filter is a 2 block bandpass filter where both the frequency and the bandwidth can be adjusted.

The gain at the center frequency is 0 dB, with greater amounts of attenuation occuring as the frequency moves away from the center frequency.

This filter can be used to create lo-fi sounds by limiting the upper and lower frequencies. By modulating the frequency and bandwidth the bandpass filter can be used as an alternative to a resonant lowpass filter for analog synth sounds.

This filter can also be used to create the wah-wah effect, and was the basis of the famous cry-baby wah.

Bandpass filters are also used in glitch music to create the chaotic filtered beats, and can be combined in series with a resonant lowpass or highpass filter to create a resonant bandpass filter, if the frequencies of the two filters are modulated and set the same.
