Logic:Environment Object-Mapped Instrument

The Mapped Instrument Object is used so that names assigned to keys show up in various editors.

To create a Mapped Instrument, from the Environment Window Pull-Down Menu: New>Mapped Instrument

Autoload.lso Environment
New   ∇ Edit   ∇ View   ∇ Options   ∇



When the new Object is created the editing window will appear. Double-click on the object at any other time to get to this window.

The Initialize drop-down gives you several options for and initial setup to hopefully shorten the work.

  • Initialize
    • Names as Note
    • Names as General MIDI
    • Output Notes
    • Output Velocities
    • Output Channels
    • Output Cables
    • Score Parameters
  • Input Name is the name that appears in various editors.
  • Output Note is to change the output note in order to have two or more keys play the same sample.
  • Velocity is an offset for each note.
  • Cha is to designate a MIDI Channel
  • Cable is the physical cable output assignment (1-16).
  • Head is the symbol that will appear in the Score Editor.
  • Rel.Pos also related to Score.
  • Group also related to Score.
