Logic:FAQ- ES2 Sidechain

From Sonikmatter

How do I setup ES2 for sidechaining?

  1. Put an audio file on an Audio Track.
  2. Disable the Output of the Audio Track (if you don't want to hear the audio and just want it to trigger the sidechain).
  3. Open ES2 and select that Audio Track under "Side Chain" at the top of ES2.
  4. Setup the patching.

Here is a typical patching setup for sidechaining ES2.

When "OscLScle" is set as a Target you may not get any sound until you set the amount using the green arrow on the right of the patching. Otherwise, move the arrows for Cut and Reso to vary the amount that the sidechain is effecting the sound.
