Logic:FAQ- What is an Environment?

From Sonikmatter

FAQ: What is an Environment?

From the main Pull-Down: Windows>Environment

The Environment is what sets Logic apart from other Sequencers. There are many things that we wish were included in our Sequencer and this is where the other Sequencer leave people wishing and waiting for updates. In it's default form it's where all Audio Objects for mixing, setting FX, etc., and MIDI Objects for external devices are found. All Objects in the Environment can be placed on a Track in the Arrange Window, although some (like the Ornament) would have no function on a Track. From there the power of the Environment, especially along with [[Logic:Screensets]|Screensets]]] is realized through customization. The Environment gives us the ability to convert, split, and even create Data, control external MIDI Devices, and helps with the User Interface.
