Logic:Nodes

Logic Nodes are for distribution of processing on separate Apple computers.
Once installed, turn the Node system on and launch the Node application. Start Logic on the master computer and go to Node Preferences from the Main Pull-down Menu: Logic Pro>Preferences...>Audio...>Nodes Tab
Regarding the Mac Mini, this is quoted from zr-rock on the Sonikmatter forum:

i was told by the webpage the manual and some clever guys that this could NOT work..... but it does..... just tried it yesterday... a powerbook 1.5 GHz as host.... and two Mac Mini's as nodes.... more than 3 TIMES THE POWER!! (of my powerbook) it's a shame it doesn't work on EXS24... but it works fine with Space Designer and Ultrabeat this will of course not compare to using G5's as nodes.... but very nice for a portable setup... |
