Logic:Plugins- Match EQ

From Sonikmatter

This Logic-related article is a stub. You can help Sonikmatter by expanding it.

The Match EQ in Logic Audio is used for:

1) Analyzing the equalization characteristics of the document (the project you've inserted the Match EQ into)

2) Analyzing another source, for example an .aiff of another song.

3) Imposing the characteristics of the audio in step 2 onto your audio. Logic does this by noting the differences between the two, and creating a new "averaged" equalization curve which can be applied as a percentage to your mix.

Obviously this is most effective when inserted across the mains, working on the entire mix, or even better— a master, as we really shouldn't mix and master at the same time. I will add a step-by-step to this later on.
