Kurzweil:Notch

From Sonikmatter

(Redirected from Notch)

Notch Filters are a type of Filter that removes a narrow range of frequencies from the Spectrum of the sound. The Frequency and bandwidth are frequently assignable to control these Filters. Notch Filters are normally used to remove problem noises such as hum or other constant Frequency noises, though there are also creative uses for Notch Filters, such as Phasers.

A notch Filter is essentially the opposite to a bandpass Filter
