better algorithm tables

hey, guys, take a look at this table I came up with for Algorithm10:

block1 block2 block3 block4 block5

I think our problems with fixing the look of algorithms is complete. the key is a table that is 15 columns wide. starting with the 2nd column, every 3rd column has an unfixed width, with every other column being 5px. sort of:
5px <none> 5px 5px <none> 5px 5px etc...

secondly, using multiple border styles per cell is possible.

What do you guys think of building each table for the algorithms using this style? I think it's a lot more efficient than the other way, and alot easier to read. No more kurzweil "spacer.gif" file. As far as building wiring for triplemode layers, here's Alg44:

block1 block2 block3 block4 block5

Here is alg75:

block1 block2 block3 block4 block5

Oh, I also edited the kurzfooter and kurzheader to include links to the Algorithm page.

VAST Programmer Pages

Ashley - don't worry about doing any further work on the VAST Programmer pages or interface. Mike has decided to sever ties with sonikmatter and develop his own web page. Leave the current pages as they are. They are still a valuable resource for our members, and they are welcome to update them if they wish.

Spam

OK - I've finally managed to hack my way around a problem with the spam filter, and we've now got a local spam list as well. Unfortunately we can't update it from the wiki, but PM me any spam links that manage to get through and I'll stick them on the list straight away.

You can add them to My spam blacklist as well, though it might take me a while to find them there. Note that this list isn't live, and it is protected.

Easiest format is

url.url.com

leave out the http://

You can find the list at http://kurzweil.sonikmatter.com/wiki/spamlist.php

Nice, that was getting a little annoying.

Tell me about it.

I also think we've worked out a way to link directly to the My spam blacklist page.

I'll give it a try today.

Also I'll be trying to implement the namespace changes soon. My initial attempts didn't work, but I'm in the process of tracking down the issues. Hopefully I won't trash the entire wiki, but cliffy's got it all backed up if the worst happens :D

It's done. You can now add spam links directly to My spam blacklist. Be sure to keep the formatting the same and be very careful about the first and last lines. That page is protected so only Sysops or higher can edit the page.

Also, it might be an idea to protect all of your templates, lest someone spams them. I'd do it myself, except I'm not sure where all of them are.

Templates

I've protected the first column of templates from [1]

I'll do some more when I get a chance.

I've protected these because they form the structure for the wiki. If a vandal killed the kn1 template for example it would wreak havok with the wiki.

Second column is done.
