VP: Installing Java on Windows

Newbies to Java on Windows (it is built-in to Mac OSX) need not fear, installing Java is very simple, just follow the steps below.

Go to here to donwload Java installation kit.
Click on Download J2SE JRE under J2SE v 1.4.2_xx JRE
Click on Accept to accept the license agreement and get to the next page
Click on Windows Installation, Multi-language
A download dialog box should popup, click Run (this is safe).
It will download and Run the installer, just follow the simple instructions. Novices, just use the typical (default) settings
